Boys and Girls Soccer teamsWelcome to Vilseck High School. Located in eastern Bavaria. Vilseck is near the Czech border and close to the cities of Nuremburg and Regensburg. In addition to Rose Barracks, VHS services the community of Grafenwoehr and Amberg as well as the surrounding housing areas. VHS is home to approximately 520 students, grades 9-12, who have the opportunity to participate in Engaged Learning projects in academic areas. In addition, they have a wide range of choices in elective areas as well as many extracurricular activities.

Incoming students and their parents are welcomed first by the Registrar and school guidance counselors who make every effort to match stateside academic classes with those offered by VHS. Distance learning classes are also available.

The compact size of VHS offers advantages to those students who wish to become involved in any one of a myriad of activities. We urge you to become all that you can be participating fully at VHS.

*Important Update
Immunization Requirement and Health Forms

There is a revision of the Student Health History, Immunization Certificate, and Request for Exemption from Immunizations forms and the addition of a new Returning Student Health History Update. These forms are now included in the DoDEA online registration packet. A PDF fillable version of all forms is located at http://www.dodea.edu/pps/guide_home.cfm.

All previous versions of these forms are now obsolete. The changes in these forms are also reflected in other standard DoDEA forms that notify parents of their child's immunization status. A copy of a student's complete immunization record may be accepted in lieu of a DoDEA Form 2942.0-M-F3 (SHSG: H-2), November 2011.

The required DoDEA minimum immunization for school year 2012/13, for students 16 years old and older now includes the addition of a Meningococcal booster.  If your student is already 16 years old or older then then you need to take the student to the clinic for the immunization. The school will need a copy of the printout from the clinic to update their school health record.

School report cards
DoDEA released web-based School Report Cards (SRCs) in an effort to provide more information on each school’s performance and accountability. They are designed to help families by giving them an overview of a new school before their child ever sets foot in the classroom. These school report cards will allow you to see how our school is faring so we can work together to address your child's educational needs. Provided in our report card will be SAT and TerraNova scores, our student demographic profile, improvement goals, and school contact information
