What is ASACS?
The Adoolescent Substance Abuse Counseling Service program (ASACS) is officially a part of the Army Center for Substance Abuse Programs (ACSAP), the Navy Fleet and Family Fleet Service Center (FFSC) and the United States Air Force Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment Program (ASAPT) and operates in accordance with federal regulations.

ASACS is a comprenhensive program providing prevention education, idetification and referral, and treatment services to 12 to 18 year old ID card holders in the military community. It is the military's answer to joining the fight against adolescent substance abuse.

 

Why Use ASACS?
  • Commanders: Enhances military readiness by strengthening the family and giving commanders a choice to prevent "early return".

  • Communities: Provides a focal point to the community for prevention and treatment of adolescent substance abuse.

  • Families: Provies parenting skills through prevention education and promotes parental involvement in treatment.

  • Adolescents: Builds resilience in youth through prevention education and treatment.

  • Quality: Provides the highest quality service through licensed and certified staff with adherence to ASAM criteria while meetiong applicanle federal regulations.
