| Student Checkout Procedures and Use of the Library | |
| 1. | Students may checkout two books at one time. The computer will stop a student from checking out a third book until one has been returned. |
| 2. | Overdue notices will be placed in the distribution box of the Language teacher of a student who does not return a book(s) by the due date. |
| 3. | Students may come to the Library at all times during the instructional day to checkout or return books. Passes will be provided. |
| 4. | The Information Center is always open for students who need to research for a project. The Librarian will provide help when needed. |
| 5. | No more than five students from any one class may use the Information Center if their teacher does not accompany them. |
| 6. | Students coming to the Information Center unaccompanied must have a pass from their teacher or they will not be allowed to remain. |
| 7. | Unaccompanied students causing discipline problems which require verbal warnings may be asked to return to their class or if the offence is severe, sent to the office with a discipline referral. |
| 8. | Students leaving the Information Center must go directly back to the classroom. |
| Teacher Checkout procedures and use of the Library | |
| 1. | Teachers and staff may have an unlimited number of books for resource based instruction as long as there are no conflicts with other teachers. |
| 2. | Substitute teachers need to check out books in their own name. |
| 3. | Students may not check out books in their teacher's name. |
| 4. |
All staff members may place books on reserve. Reserved books will be held for two days after the staff member has been notified that the book is available.
Books that are not picked up will be recalculated. |
| 5. | Collections of books and bibliographies will be compiled upon request. A two day advanced notice is required. |
| 6. | An Information Center Reservation Book will be available for Teachers desiring to reserve the Library for a lesson. A second Teacher wishing to sign up for the same class period period must first gain the approval of the Teacher with the original reservation. |
| AV Software: | |
| 1. | All software MUST be returned to the Library in a timely manner |
| 2. | AV software can be placed on reserve and must be picked up within two days of notification. |
| Fines: | |
| The Department of Defense Education Activity does not access fines for overdue books. However, lost books must be replaced either by a new book of equal value or by replacement costs. | |
